What is Mobile Deposit?
Mobile Deposit is a product that allows users to deposit checks into their Western National Bank checking or savings accounts using our mobile banking app.
How can I access Mobile Deposit?
In order to have access to Mobile Deposit, users will need to have the following:
- An open Western National Bank checking or savings account
- Enrollment in Western National Bank's online banking
- A current version of our mobile banking app downloaded on a compatible device
Are there any fees for Mobile Deposit?
There are no fees for using Mobile Deposit.
How do I endorse the check?
Sign the check in the endorsement area on the back of the check, and print "For Mobile Deposit Only" below the signature(s).
Are there limits for Mobile Deposit?
Mobile Deposit users will have a limit of $2,500.00 per item and $2,500.00 per day.
What if I have trouble with the check image being accepted?
Try these tips on capturing a better check image:
- Take photos on a dark solid background
- Take photos of the check in a well-lit area
- Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking the photo
- Make sure the entire check image is visible and in focus
- Ensure the MICR line (numbers on the bottom of the check) has no obstruction
If you are experiencing issues with the check image not being accepted, please contact us or bring the check to one of our branches.
When will the funds from a mobile deposit be made available?
The funds from an accepted mobile deposit will generally be made available within two business days after the date of the deposit.
What types of checks can be deposited using Mobile Deposit?
Checks must be payable to the account holder(s). Checks must be drawn on Financial Institutions within the United States.
For checks with multiple payees:
Any checks payable to two payees must be endorsed by both payees. If the check is payable to you or your joint owner, either of you can endorse it. If the check is made payable to you and your joint owner, both of you must endorse the check.
Western National Bank will not accept the mobile deposit of:
- Checks payable to any person or entity other than you (i.e., payable to another party and then endorsed to you)
- Checks payable to you, and another party, who is not a joint owner on the account
- Checks that contain evidence of alteration, or that you know are suspected of being fraudulent, otherwise not authorized by the owner of the account on which the check is drawn
Western National Bank will not accept mobile deposits of the following types of checks or payments:
- Checks payable to a business or an organization
- Federal Government Checks
- Foreign Checks
- Insurance Drafts
- Money Orders
- Traveler's Checks
- Savings Bonds
